A glimpse of Seedify.fund DAO & Testnet

Let’s dive into the DAO and smart contracts part of Seedify.fund in this article, shall we?

A big part of true decentralization is rather than centralized treasuries and decisions, it is giving the control and decisions to the community.

Because what is decentralization, if a company makes all the decisions themselves, and calls themselves a decentralized organization?

Token distributions among many people plus decision powers transfered to decentralized voting of community creates the perfect environment for communities to rise to power, and decide their own faith together.

Even though chaotic from a central, traditional point of view, the real revolutions come from turning this chaos into order through the usage of right set of tools, design thinking and products.

Below you can find the testnet of Seedify.fund DAO’s first implementation on the Aragon testnet; (while this is a testnet version of Seedify.fund at Aragon DAO UI, as Seedify.fund we will design our own DAO interfaces on top of Aragon Connect so the dashboard connects with our community and product ecosystem more.)

Our splitter contract that distributes the tokens Seedify.fund generates from each seed funded project to 4 different vaults were mentioned with these metrics in our distribution model;

  • Funding pool -> 50%
  • Operations -> 10%
  • Community Rewards -> 15%
  • Staking Rewards -> 25%

As mentioned in our whitepaper and other materials, Seedify.fund’s main seed funding model is a DAO based model, where community votes on which projects should get a seed funding of $75.000, as well as entry to our incubation program for continuous support on many aspects, in exchange of 3% of tokens from each project selected.

So these 3% from each project will directly go to a smart contract that will distribute the tokens among these 4 vaults, as mentioned above.

We already have this Splitter contract on testnet working with our DAO vaults;

To test it; send rinkeby testnet eth (do not send real ETH to this address, only use rinkeby testnet ETH) to;

0x7fc3fc4f67077591df66bfc9756700b16b7d1da2

and see what’s happening on the 4 vaults;

So while what we show in the Seedify.fund testnet of Aragon DAO, and Splitter Contract are the base elements that will have custom designs and developments on the top of these base layers, we wanted to show a testnet glimpse of our DAO, as well as the 4 vaults that will be the major parts of our ecosystem.

Also, in order to ease the usage of our DAO, and decentralized voting systems, we will have custom interfaced dashboards, for each of these systems, done through user interface agencies, that will go through community feedback, to make sure all of our community members have an easy time using main features of Seedify.fund such as:

  • project proposals (for entrepreneurs to list their ideas for funding)
  • decentralized voting (for community to vote on them)
  • staking (for $SFUND token holders to get rewards from projects funded)
  • as well as transparency dashboards (for treasury and vaults)
  • and lastly community involvement mechanisms (for incubator)

In the future, we will also start to share the custom interfaces, and other smart contracts that will make the Seedify.fund ecosystem easily usable without much technical knowledge, all within the same dashboard, with all the elements included in our whitepaper.

Our most important goal here is to let the technicals stay in the background, work automatically, and securely, while introducing them in such ways that, all of our community members will be adopting and using our DAO, casting their decentralized votes on the projects, staking their coins, and earning more from each great decision, just like they are using a mobile phone app. While helping new innovations of blockchain ecosystem materialize.

Because real usage will come not from making things more complex, but turning chaos into order, making hard look and feel easy.
